Progress is made! (Why it took so long)
August 23rd 2025
Hello listeners, after two-and-a-half weeks I've returned with another devpost!
Yes, it's simple, the reason I was gone is because August 7th was the day I returned to school, so less time developing, (most of the two and a half weeks were spent not working on it...) but I've finally created a playable game, yes, you can take flags, kill opponents, and the game even resets/regenerates and gives the winners points once all the flags are taken.
But it's far from done:
There is currently only one fixed spawn, (just at the top of the cliff in the middle of the map) and the shop doesn't work. There are also not any stage hazards besides the abyss that I added at the very start of the project.
All in all, RoBeach II is coming along, even if not nicely, while it is far from done... stay tuned!
Progress: Static Map Finished
August 6th 2025
Finished Map (besides the abscene of anything that requires scripting)
Well, that was a bit faster.
"What does 'static' mean?" Glad you asked made up person in my made up-ish definition, it simply means that this is absolutely bare bones and has no code in it.
For example, there are no tools, structure regeneration, code for the flag or spawning, and no hazards besides the abyss in front of the palace.
I made this map in a client from L2008 and I plan to code it in the modern version of Roblox Studio. This is becasue it's hard to emulate the style of old ROBLOX authentically in modern versions, and I still want to make this playable on modern versions. Apparently ROBLOX's Luau scripting API changed some time within the last 17 years.
The plan is to add all that "Domination Gamemode" code, but also a shop in the inventory, and more dynamic environmental hazards, such as landslides and hydrothermal vents.
Thanks to tnu (youtubeforunder13, a developer on FWM and Godonor) for telling me how I could implement a shop.
Revamping game from 2023

Mockup of RoBeach II's Map
In July 2023 I won the Wonders of the World Contest for a ROBLOX place called FWM, for a Brick-Battle and ocean themed map called RoBeach.
It was added in March of this year.
In that timeframe I learnt a lot about ROBLOX development and, even though I won first place with an average rating above 8 (in due part to my strategic thumbnail), I am not impressed by the quality of the map.
My idea for the redesign is for it to become a Domination Gamemode instead of an endless FFA. I'll also create my own tools instead of using ROBLOX's classic BrickBattle weapons.
The map will be reworked to be much more traversable with better ascends and cover to remove the need for JetBoots. I also tried to put the flags and spawns in balanced spots when it was originally just one (yikes).
Considering RoBeach took the better part of a month to complete I dont expect this to be finished soon and seeing as my place took over a year-and-a-half to get added I don't expect this game to even really yield anything.
I just think Old ROBLOX is neat.
